Note: App specific notification settings are currently only available through the Android app using the "App Notifications" function. iOS settings simply allow app notifications in general to be turned off/on.
In general, the Striiv app will need to remain running in the background of your phone/tablet. Bluetooth must also remain on to keep the Striiv tracker connected with the app.
If you're running Android 6.0 and up, location services must be enabled for the Striiv app within phone/tablet settings in order for notifications to function. This is an Android-wide Bluetooth requirement. The general path to enable location services specific to the Striiv app is as follows: Settings > Apps/App Manager > Striiv > Permissions.
Your phone/tablet needs to recognize your Striiv tracker as a bluetooth accessory. During the initial set-up, you should have seen a pop up from your phone, asking if you wanted to pair a device (the Bluetooth ID was Striiv Bio Lite followed by 4 characters).
If you did not see this pop up, or aren’t sure, go to your phone/tablet settings, and select Bluetooth. Under ‘devices’ you should see your tracker ID (again, Striiv Bio Lite followed by 4 characters). If it says ‘connected’, great! You are ready to receive notifications.
If it says ‘not connected’, select the "i" next to the connection status to forget the device, then force quit and restart the Striiv app on your phone/tablet to reconnect the tracker via double tapping the side of the device with the app open.
As a last resort, you may follow these steps to reset the notifications connection:
Open the app and select the gear icon on the gray device banner at the top of the app's main screen. Scroll down to select de-register device and follow the prompts to do so.
(iOS only) Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and find a device starting with Striiv Bio Lite followed by 4 characters. Select the info for this device and then select forget this device to disconnect the device from Bluetooth.
Restart your phone/tablet.
Finally, open the app and select tracker settings within the app menu, then tap connect.
